Funny old day, the forecast rain did not arrive and it was very close with more light airs. Then at about 12.30 I checked the Landguard weather station and a 12 SSW had appeared so I checked the tide which had just changed so I decided to check out Levington Marina to see if I could get out on the foil while dropping a chain saw off at Trimley on the way:) I arrived at the marina at 1.30 with the tide still fairly low and the wind light but had a relaxing hour or so watching the birds and reading my book. The wind filled in a little so I decided to give it a try which is the point I realised I had left my foil in the garage; this old age is a terrible thing!!!! I then started to rig 9.4 for a spin on the longboard as Mag arrived on her bike:) The wind was patchy but I decided to give it a try and was soon launching out of the marina entrance and although there was a few good gusts so I headed across the bay, tacked and was going to sail to Pin Mill but ran out of wind opposite the pub so headed back. I hoped for more wind on the river towards the dock but it was light there too. So, after a trip into the creek near the bay where I ran out of water and nearly got stuck in the mud! Time to call it a day and head back to the van for a cuppa with Mag.
